For the past 20 years in Florida, Todd has developed deep roots in the communities he has served as a social worker, counselor, administrator and occasional nursing assistant. Through community service with Habitat for Humanity, The Boy Scouts of America, Cafe of Life, Hope Hospice, Naples High School's Academic Booster Club and Band Boosters as well as the Greater Naples Little League Association, Todd has demonstrated a willingness to roll up his sleeves and fight for those who have been allowed to fall through the cracks in our society.
For over 20 years, Todd has worked for prestigious, national and privately-owned providers as Administrator and Executive Director.
Todd is often sought out by leaders in Senior Housing and Long-term Care who recognize the need to attract the industry's best talent. His unique "hands-on" experience has helped him consistently steer communities toward regulatory compliance, solid financial returns and, most important, patient and family satisfaction since 1997.
Todd Truax earned his professional certification from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business and received a Masters In Social Service Administration from Case Western Reserve University's Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences and also recently served as President of the Florida Health Care Association's 16th District.
Volunteer Now! Please join us in our patriotic effort to protect our country from those whose aim is to destroy our Democracy and our American way of life!
Our Democratic Institutions and our electoral system are under attack; the identities of over 85 million Americans were stolen and used to subvert our electoral system; thousands of Russian and Chinese “birth tourists” are allowed to come to our country yearly just to give birth and then return to their countries as mothers of “American-born citizens” who might be "trained" and used in the future to subvert our Democracy.
Saddled with a $21 Trillion national debt with no end in sight, our nation's roads, bridges, airports and the quality of our water and air continue to deteriorate.
The recent decision by the FCC to remove protections for the free and open use of the internet is sure to result in more expensive and sluggish access to the internet, further limiting Americans' ability to openly and quickly exercise their constitutional right to free speech.
Meanwhile, Republican politicians in Washington are only interested in re-election! Volunteer Now!
Our country is saddled with a growing $20 Trillion debt caused by an unfair and corrupt, over 75,000-page tax code rigged by self-serving politicians to favor wealthy campaign donors who, via deductions, loopholes and special credits, avoid paying their fair share of taxes.
Only a new tax model designed to achieve "Economic Equality Through Fiscal Responsibility and Fair Taxation" can restore and preserve the seemingly forgotten promise of our great American Democracy as champion and protector of the poor and the middle class. The "Fair Automatic Simple Tax" ("FAST") is that model!
FAST is fair, simple, progressive, automatic and designed to replace a rigged tax code which nobody pretends to understand and is destroying our economy and the confidence of Americans.
• FAST eliminates all deductions, loopholes and special credits
• Lower FAST rates make up for "home mortgage deduction" loss
• FAST eliminates most tax returns
• FAST generates enough revenue to fund and maintain:
- national security
- all necessary social and healthcare programs
- Veterans' and their families' welfare
- the Earned Income Credit (EIC)
- infrastructure and the environment

The recent decision of the FCC to remove protections for the free and open use of the internet will create a sluggish, expensive, 1980's speed to the internet, for those who cannot afford to upgrade to the high speed, fast lanes. This decision is one I will work to overturn once elected in November 2018.
Without clean air and clean water, regardless of party affiliation, we all perish - it's that simple!
As a responsible parent, when in congress, Todd Truax is hell-bent on passing permanent legislation restore and protect the health of our environment in all its phases.
"We are and always will be a nation of immigrants. We were strangers once, too. And whether our forebears were strangers who crossed the Atlantic, or the Pacific or the Rio Grande, we are here only because this country welcomed them in, and taught them that to be an American is about something more than what we look like, or what our last names are, or how we worship. What makes Americans is our shared commitment to an ideal - that all men are created equal, and all of us have the chance to make our lives what we will." Barack Obama.
I have ancestors who were in the Austrian Army and cousins who's names are Armando, Arturo, Gerardo and Lupita. My last name is an anglicized rendering of a French version I have trouble pronouncing. Who am I to build a wall, sneer at a passport or challenge an accent? Who are you?
After a lifetime dedicated to the mental and physical health of the communities he has served, Todd believes that the challenges facing the American healthcare system need to be addressed immediately—they are a matter of life and death. He has always believed that healthcare is a human right and should be guaranteed to all Americans regardless of wealth or income. He prizes the health and wellness of individuals over corporate profits. Additionally, he supports future legislation to curb drug costs and tackle fraud in the industry. Altogether, universal healthcare serves as a strong foundation for his policy goals.
As a son of a public school teacher, I learned teachers are our greatest leaders and education is our most valuable resource. I believe that all students deserve the opportunity to receive an affordable, quality education from the earliest stages of schooling to high-level degrees. I support the goals to make public colleges and universities tuition-free, as well as to drastically reduce interest rates on student loan debt.
I believe that the United States squanders far too many resources on over-incarceration and misguided crime policies, and that this money could be better spent providing education, training, and jobs to those who might otherwise get lost in the criminal justice system. I also advocate for police reform through increased transparency and accountability, as well as the demilitarization of America’s police forces.
I support the death penalty in capital cases. I also believe that felons who have completed their sentences and paid their penalties should have full restitution of their voting rights.
